RIM to launch the Blackberry Tour on July 15th!
In a continued effort to gain more consumers, RIM is set to introduce the Blackberry Tour, targeted at executives and non-executives alike. Blackberry took the best of the Bold and Curve to come up with the Tour. Blackberry hopes that their latest device will offer strict competition to the Apple iPhone and the Palm Pre.The Tour offers the user world class capabilities that will allow individuals easy access to data and voice networks all across the world. This is a must for the loyal and dependent blackberry users. However, Blackberry is also looking to offer superior features such as a 3.2 MP Camera, brilliant clear display, superior video and music functionality, slimmer capabilities with an ergonomic feel along with the usual features that people have come to expect from Blackberry. And for those who love their ipods, the Blackberry Tour offers a synchronization facility for iTunes and Windows Media player. Finally! In Canada, Bell and Telus will carry the phone, but what can Canadian consumers expect? What pricing and demands will be heaped on the consumer looking to procure the Tour? More and more people will be migrating to Smartphone’s in the coming years and many feel that if the prices do not come in line with what consumers are willing to pay, then the adoption of the latest and greatest devices will be difficult. The barriers of adoption of new devices and services need to be minimized. Barriers such as contracts that keep people married to their existing devices and higher than average pricing on data plans, to name a few. The fact remains that superior devices are coming out with more and more frequency and Canadians just want to be able to procure cool devices like the Blackberry Tour!
