5 ways to protect against cell phone radiation
Updated: March 28th, 2012
Having poured over tons of research and articles about the effects or non effects of cell phones radiation on us, I’m more confused now that I was before doing the research. And its the double speak that catches me – there is no causal link between regular cell phone use and cancer or brain tumors! But on the other hand, heavy mobile users, described as more than 30 minutes a day (isn’t that the majority of us) are at increased risk for brain tumors. So which is it? Every now and again we see a news segment about the health risks of cell phones and at the end of each segment they mention how prominent groups like the FCC have not found any clear links between cell phones use and cancer or other potentially deadly health ailments. What do Osama Bin Laden and the new BlackBerry 9900 have in common?
Simple answer, they are both dead in the water. Okay, maybe that wasn’t necessary, but so as this device. RIM announced the upcoming launch of the BlackBerry 9900 series at BlackBerry World 2011 in Orlando this week with the 9900 being the HSPA version and the 9930, its CDMA cousin. The BlackBerry 9900 series are evolutionary devices for RIM and look like you’ve seen them already. As a matter of fact, a 1st generation BlackBerry Bold could easily be mistaken for this new device before looking under the hood.
The new BlackBerry 9900s come with a new operating system (OS 7) from RIM and unfortunately its not the OS that we were hoping to see. Before we get into the details of OS7 let’s take a look at the BlackBerry 9900s, if you care to know a bit more about what this device has to offer.
