LG Debuts first dual-core processor cell phone
The world’s most powerful cell phone: LG Optimus 2X Review
LG electronics unveiled the Android LG Optimus 2x as part of its Optimus line up for next year. This is the first commercially available cell phone with a dual-core processor. I remember just the other day imagining that a cell phone will have more computing power than a desktop computer. Well no need to imagine any more that time has come. We’ve entered a new era.
The LG Optimus 2X processor was developed by NVIDIA which is known for developing amazing graphics capabilities for desktop computers and laptops. The daul-core Tegra 2 system-on-a-chip runs at a clock speed of 1GHz which runs with low power consumption and high performance video and audio capabilities. This phone is expected make web browsing, application usage and multitasking “super” smooth and easy to use.
HTC Desire Z Review
Let’s take a look at the new HTC Desire Z!
A review of the HTC Desire Z seems to be timely here in Canada as we gear up for the Christmas season. This cell phone is available on Bell’s network for $79.95 on a three year term for those holiday shoppers looking for gifts. If you are wondering what’s the difference between the Desire Z and the Desire, well it has a new Z-hinge slide-out keyboard and touch screen. It is essentially the HTC Desire with a slide out keyboard, the regular HTC Desire just has a touch screen and its larger cousin the HTC Desire HD (available in the US) also is without a keyboard. So for those cell phone users out there who feel more comfortable with a keyboard maybe this phone should be on your check out list.
Samsung Focus WP 7 Cell Phone Review
Samsung Focus Now Available in Canada
Looking to get a Windows 7 Phone? The Samsung Focus is one of four WP 7 phones ,the other three being, HTC Surround, LG Optimus and LG Quantum all of which are available in Canada for the first time, week of November 8. The Focus is not stylish by any stretch, but it is the thinnest WP7 phone that exists right now, and it’s kind of the first thing you notice.
In terms of specs, the Focus is like the Galaxy S Model phones all of which carry Super Amoled 4 “ screens but with a different CPU and less RAM, and of course with Window Phone 7 Operating System behind it. In terms of Applications, Microsoft is working on expanding its supported APPs which you can download from Marketplace though admittedly there are lagging behind Google Android in variety and availability at this time.
Keep reading to see some highlights and not so compelling ones.
HTC 7 Surround Cell Phone Review
Windows Phone 7 HTC Surround Cell Phone Review
The review of the HTC Surround T8788 is a review of one of the first Windows Phone 7 cell phones to be launched in Canada. I was immediately drawn to the HTC Surround because I’ve always associated Windows mobile devices with HTC from the early days of the HTC Touch and later the Touch Pro and Diamond. In addition, HTC has become a leader in the cell phone arena with notable devices like the Nexus One, and the HTC Desire, so it seems obvious to review the new HTC Surround as one of my first looks at a Windows Phone 7 device. This cell phone is available in Canada on November 8th through TELUS. Pricing is expected to be around $99 on 3 year contract. What ever the price, get the best HTC 7 Surround cell phone and plans here!.

BlackBerry Style Review
BlackBerry Style 9670 coming to Canada
BlackBerry launched its new flip phone called the BlackBerry Style. Let’s review the key features of this new cell phone and how it differs from the other BlackBerry cell phones. The last flip phone from BlackBerry, the Pearl Flip 8200 series was essentially the Pearl design with a flip screen. The BlackBerry Style is no different; it’s the Curve 3G with a flip screen. This device is targeted to the users who still like the flip style phones. The style is likely to be available in Canada during the month of November on TELUS’ network and possibly in December on Bell. The Style is being sold in the US for $99.99 on Sprint’s network we can expect a similar price point here in Canada.
