With a modest (in the age of dual core processor phones) 600 MHz Qualcomm CPU and a half-gig of storage in-built the HTC Salsa doesn’t immediately appear to be that different from most entry level smartphones.

RIM, HTC, Nokia respond to Apple’s claims

Apple’s rivals quick to respond to Apple’s accusations

Apple’s antenna saga continues with some strong responses by its rivals who were uninvitedly brought into the iPhone 4 antenna issues via a presentation from Steve Jobs during their press conference yesterday.  In Jobs’ presentation, Apple claimed that the iPhone antenna issues were not isolated to the iPhone but also to other cell phones (smartphones) in the industry like the BlackBerry Bold 9700, HTC Droid Eris, Samsung Omnia II and during the question and answer period highlighted Nokia phones as having similar issues.

HTC Maple (HTC Snap) Review

HTC Maple or HTC Snap – What’s the difference?

When I heard about the HTC Maple it looked very familiar to me. It looked a lot like the HTC Snap and it looks a bit like the Blackberry Bold!! What’s also interesting is that it has a very Canadian like name…the Maple. Given these similarities I wanted to find out more about this device just out of sheer curiosity.

Well it turns out that my hunch was correct, the HTC Maple is the pure GSM version of the HTC Snap (the snap also has GSM capabilities) with some minor differences.  It’s slightly longer, but has all the similar features of the Snap.
